Appointed as The President Of Malaysia, This Is The Face Of Muhyiddin Yassin – The King of Malaysia has appointed Muhyiddin Yassin as the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia. The decision was made after the Malaysian King met with the leaders of the political party to ask for the names of their respective prime ministers.
Released from Anadolu news agency on Sunday (1/2/2020), Muhyiddin Yassin was born 72 years ago in Johor, Malaysia. He began his political career when he joined the United Malays National Organization (UMNO) as a member in 1971.
Muhyiddin’s career began as a member of parliament in UMNO’s 1978 general election and retained his seat until 1982.
In the 1986 election, Muhyidin was elected governor of the Province of Johor, Malaysia. His tenure as governor lasted until 1995.
Further, Noorainee’s husband Abdul Rahman’s political career rose to the rank of Minister of Youth and Sports (1995-1999), Minister of Trade and Consumer Affairs (1999-2004), Minister of Agriculture (2004-2008) and Minister of International Trade and Industry ( 2008-2009) before becoming deputy prime minister.

As Minister of Education and Deputy Prime Minister, Muhyiddin had made it a policy to restore English as the language of instruction in the subjects of Mathematics and Science in primary and secondary schools throughout Malaysia.
In 2016, Muhyiddin and Mahathir co-founded the United Indigenous Party of Malaysia (PPBM). He was later trusted as president, while Mahathir was the general. Appointed as The President
Mahathir also appointed Muhyiddin as home minister when the coalition of Pakatan Harapan, supported by the PPBM, the People’s Justice Party (PKR), the Democratic Action Party (DAP), and the National Trust Party, won the elections in 2018-2020.
However, relations between the two began to fade when Mahathir resigned as prime minister on February 24, 2020.
The PPBM has also opted out of the coalition of Pakatan Harapan and liaised with UMNO and PAS, which had previously been opposition parties. This third party is known for defending the idea of Malay identity.

Muhyiddin Yassin will be appointed and will take the oath of office as prime minister on Sunday at 10.30pm.
