The isolation and observation facilities on Galang Island, Batam include two buildings in two floors which consist of 230 observation rooms with a capacity of 8 to 10 people per room, and isolation rooms.
This isolation room is divided into two intensive care unit (ICU) isolation with 20 rooms, and non-ICU with 30 rooms. The capacity of this isolation room per room is only filled by one patient.
In addition, to meet the needs of raw water will be taken from Rempang Reservoir with a supply of 5 liters per second, which is added to the Existing Vietnam Camp with a capacity of 230 cubic meters per second.
At present, the fulfillment of water needs from the Rempang Reservoir has been installed with a transmission pipe whose construction has reached 100 percent.
Whereas for energy needs supported by PLN Galang Island Branch which in two days is targeted to complete the installation of the network installation.
Then, to control solid and liquid waste, a Waste Water Treatment Plant (IPAL) and Incinerator will be built.
For these two facilities, the Ministry of PUPR will collaborate with the Ministry of Forestry and the Environment.
In realizing the construction of observation facilities and isolation of infectious disease control and rehabilitation of supporting buildings, the Ministry of PUPR appointed PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk and PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk as executors of construction with a budget of Rp 400 billion.
